FALL EVENTS SET FOR HILLEL STUDENT CENTER

The Jewish New Year will be observed with a series of Rosh Hashanah services and dinners at the Hillel Student Center, 47 West Delaware Ave.

On Friday, Sept. 6, Shabbat dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. Beginning Sept. 13, Shabbat services and dinner will start at 6:30 p.m., and bagel brunches will be held at the center from noon-1 p.m., Sundays, beginning Sept. 15.

Rosh Hashanah services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 6; and at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, and Sunday, Sept. 8.

A holiday meal will be served at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept 15. Cost is $7.75, payable by cash, check or UD FLEX.?Reservations, which are due by Sept. 9, can be made online at [http://udel.edu/ stu/org/hillel] or by phone at 453-0479.

A Kol Nidre service for Yom Kippur will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15. Yom Kippur services continue at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16. Afternoon services, followed by a break-the-fast event, will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16.

There is a fee for non-Hillel members of the community and faculty who wish to attend services.?

A bus trip to Ellis Island is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6, with the bus departing Newark at 8 a.m. Tickets are $18 for non-Discover Hillel members and $10 for members.
