Seven CTE improvement grants
announced for faculty courses

The Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) has awarded seven instructional improvement grants for Spring 2002 to promote teaching and learning that advances UD's teaching mission and gives greater visibility to innovation in higher education.

The focus for the current round of awards is using advanced and emerging technologies in instructional contexts.

CTE instructional improvement grants, totaling $109,437, have been awarded to

Members of the faculty review committee, chaired by William Frawley, director of the Office of Undergraduate Studies, included 2001 grant recipients Ian Hall, associate professor of mechanical engineering; Christine Kydd, associate professor in business administration; Raymond Nichols, professor of art; and Leila Lyons, director and Kathleen Troutman, associate director, both in Informational Technologies-User Services; and Gabriele Bauer, teaching consultant in the Center for Teaching Effectiveness.
