CONCERT SPOTLIGHTS OPERADELAWARE
AND UD STUDENT COLLABORATION

UD's Department of Music and OperaDelaware have been collaborating in a year-long program bringing together students in the opera program and internationally known professionals in opera performance and production.

The results of these efforts will be showcased at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 27, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. The UD Opera Workshop will present a concert of opera highlights, featuring students who have participated in master classes sponsored by OperaDelaware.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for students.

The collaboration was begun last fall when Leland Kimball, general director of OperaDelaware, worked with UD graduate and undergraduate music students in the Opera Workshop program directed by Marie Hadley Robinson, associate professor of music. The partnership continued this spring as OperaDelaware hosted a series of master classes at the University. Students selected by audition worked with stage directors, conductors and singers from OperaDelaware's roster.
