TRIO ACCORDO to perform on April 15

Trio Accordo, the resident faculty trio at UD, will present a free recital at 8 p.m., Monday, April 15, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. Founded last year, the trio includes pianist Christine Delbeau, violinist Xiang Gao and cellist Hekun Wu.

The April 15 program will include Piano Trio in G Major by Haydn, Vitebsk--Study on a Jewish Theme by Aaron Copland, Piano Trio in C Major, Opus 87 by Brahms and a duet of Chinese folk tunes for violin and cello by Zhong.

As international concerto soloists, Gao, Wu and Delbeau have performed in North America, South America, Asia and Europe, with such orchestras as the Detroit Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Kansas City Symphony, l'Orchestre de Bordeaux, the Memphis Symphony, the Estonia National Symphony, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and the Aspen Music Festival Orchestra.

Trio Accordo members have appeared in concert with some of the world's leading chamber musicians.
