SEN. TOM CARPER TO PRESENT
SPRING CHAP TYLER LECTURE

The spring 2002 Tyler Lecture series will feature U.S. Sen. Thomas R. Carper at 3 p.m., Friday, April 19, in 125 MBNA America Hall.

The topic of Carper's lecture is "Making Delaware a Model– Partnerships for Success." A reception will be held after the talk in the Tyler Atrium.

During his campus visit, he will participate in roundtable discussions with select students and faculty. Carper served as Delaware's governor for two terms, was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for five consecutive terms and served as Delaware's state treasurer. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000. He earned his MBA at UD in 1975.
