HORNIST TO PRESENT RECITAL MARCH 1
Guest artist Brad Gemeinhardt will present a free French horn recital at 8 p.m., Friday, March 1, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. Julie Nishimura, UD accompanist, is the pianist.
The program includes Sonata in F major, Opus 17 by Beethoven, Fantasy Pieces, Opus 73 by Schumann and Romance in E major, Opus 67 by Saint-Saens.
A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, Gemeinhardt is a rising young professional musician in New York City. He has performed with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jersey, as well as at the Tanglewood and Aspen music festivals. He will perform in the Broadway show Thoroughly Modern Millie, scheduled to open in April.
