UD e-mail is provided for University-related purposes. Incidental personal use of e-mail is certainly allowed, but the primary reason you have a UD e-mail account is to make your University work easier and more productive.

Check out alleged computer virus warnings before forwarding them. The vast majority of such second-hand warnings are hoaxes. At UD, any legitimate computer virus emergency message will come from an authorized UD staff member.

It's against UD policy to send anonymous or forged e-mail. Because of the shared nature of the network, all users of the network need to be accountable for what they do on the network.

It's an abuse of computing resources to back up personal files on the University's main web server.

Don't forward every joke you receive. We all get plenty of e-mail, thank you!
