Stephen Sciscione, associate director of the MBNA Career Services Center, has been elected vice president and conference chair for the Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association. Sciscione will chair the 32nd annual conference, to be held in October 2002.

The Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association has members from New York to West Virginia, including professionals from universities, industry, secondary education and private practice. Their responsibilities include placement, employment and career and personal counseling.

The organization sponsors two conferences each year, attended by more than 400 members. During the sessions, national and international speakers address topics related to career counseling, employment and new trends in lifestyle and employment.

Sciscione, who has been a member of the organization since 1988 and a UD employee since 1983, has served as a volunteer, committee chairperson, presenter at the annual conferences and member-at-large representing Delaware. Most recently, he was elected for a three-year term as a member of the executive board and will serve as vice president and conference chair for 2001-02, as president during 2002-03 and as past president during 2003-04.
