PROGRAMS TO HELP KEEP EMPLOYEES FIT
The Employee Wellness Center is offering two programs that will help employees keep fit and healthy in the coming months.
Debbie Cebenka and Lisa Shotyk, nurse health educators from Christiana Care Medical Center, will present "Take Charge of Your Health" from 12:05-12:55 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, in 100 Memorial Hall. Find out which preventive screenings are important and how to talk effectively with doctors and health care professionals. All attendees will receive Self-Care Essentials, a book filled with health care information.
To keep fit and prevent unwanted holiday season pounds, join the Wellness Center's "Weigh-to-Go" program, which will help participants stay focused on healthy eating and physical exercise during the holidays. Those interested will become involved in a confidential "weigh-in" on Nov. 19, receive material on nutrition, stress management and exercise to use during the holidays and receive a "weigh-out" on Jan. 4.
Participants who are within 3 pounds of their pre-holiday weight will be entered in a drawing for a $20 gift certificate to Café Bellissimo. Groups gaining less than 3 pounds per member will be in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the Blue & Gold Club.
Cost for each program is $10 Wellness Dollars, and pre-registration is required. Employees may register online at [www.udel. edu/wellness] or call the Wellness Center at 831-8388.
