The implementation of the PeopleSoft payroll system in October ushers in a new era in the way our human resources business practices are conducted. We are now able to provide a "one-stop shopping" model for the delivery of employee services that includes benefits enrollment, parking services, payroll operations and enhanced avenues for communicating with employees.

The PeopleSoft system offers the technology we needed to refine our business practices and enhance our services for you. Our new location and expanded parking help, too.

One result of the new system is a new look for your paycheck, making it easier to understand your deductions. (Everyone will, of course, receive their normal annual gross pay!) An added feature is that deduction of Maryland taxes for those living in that state can be done for those who wish it.

There will be a great deal of publicity about the new paycheck. Look on the web at www.udel.edu/hr/paystub, in UpDate and in separate communicat ions to employee and student groups.

Human Resources Liaisons will help you!

Every employee has a Human Resources Liaison within his or her department. This person helps you with HR/Payroll matters and is prepared to assist with your questions concerning the new pay stub. A complete list of campus HR Liaisons is located at www.udel.edu/HRSystemsAdmin.

1. You'll have a new employee ID to better protect your Social Security Number.

2. State taxes for Maryland residents can be deducted.

3. You'll have better information about your benefit costs.

4. Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reimbursements will be processed weekly.

5. You'll soon have the option of multiple direct deposits.
