Tuition Exchange Program applications due by Oct. 22
T HE deadline for Tuition Exchange applications for the 2002-03 academic year is Monday, Oct. 22.
A lottery of eligible employees who have applied for the available slots will be held on 12:15 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, at 12:15 p.m. in Room 151, 413 Academy St. It is not necessary to attend, but interested employees may do so.
Tuition Exchange is a program of exchange scholarships offered to University employees for their dependent children. It is a national consortium of more than 440 colleges and universities.
To qualify, employees must be full-time and must have a minimum of two years of eligible University service as of Oct. 31 of the year in which they submit TE applications. Eligible children are natural or legally adopted children who are financially dependent on their parents in accordance with IRS regulations. Dependent children may apply to one or more participating institutions. Participating institutions grant the TE scholarship, not Tuition Exchange. This means that submitting an application and subsequent acceptance to a school does not guarantee that a TE scholarship will be awarded.
Although this program may be used in conjunction with the University of Delaware's Tuition Remission program, it must be counted toward the maximum number of requests permitted by the tuition remission policy.
