College recognizes faculty awa

Special awards to seven members of the College of Arts and Science faculty were announced by Dean Thomas DiLorenzo at a fall faculty reception. The awards, each with a $1,000 stipend, were given to

• Ivo Dominguez, foreign languages and literature, Special Lifetime Achievement Award "for service to students, the University, his profession and the community";
  
  
• Bernard Herman, Edward F. and Elizabeth Goodman Rosenberg Professor of Art History, Service Award;
  
  
• *Dennis Jackson, English, Advisement Award;
  
  
• George Watson, physics and astronomy, Award for Undergraduate Teaching;
  
  
• Paul Mettler, physical therapy, Award for Graduate Teaching; and
  
  
• Leo Lemay, Winterthur Professor of English; and George Hsaio, mathematical sciences, Scholar Awardss.
