New options now available through online directory

New options are now available to faculty, staff and students to expand their listings in the online UD directory, and students now also have the option of publishing their directory information so it is available off-campus.

For example, students may chose to add their UD#1 CARD photos, or home page addresses. Staff and faculty can, if they wish, add fax numbers, home page addresses, office hours or UD#1 CARD photos.

The directories may be accessed through UD Directories or E-mail and Phone Directory on the University's home page at [www.udel.edu}. To customize your listing, see the "Students" or "Staff" notes on the directories page. Accessing "Help" gives further information on becoming listed or making changes that cannot be made online, such as changes of name, address or local phone number.

Joy Lynam, Management Information Services, headed the team that designed and made this new online directory service available.

"There are many reasons people may wish to expand the information offered in the directory–students may be from out of town and want to make information available for friends and family or they may be job hunting. Faculty may find it convenient to list their office hours, and staff may be working with firms or people off campus and wish to add to their listings.

"Commercial use of any of the directories is not permitted," Lynam said.

Lynam emphasized that student information is not published off-campus unless the student chooses.
