Dewey M. Caron, entomology and applied ecology, was a reviewer of proposals for U.S. AID entomology/ecology grant submissions in the U.S.-Israel/ Middle East Cooperative Development Research Program in October. He represented the National Academy of Sciences and the National Research Council.

Timothy Murray, library, was elected vice chairperson/ chairperson-elect of the Privacy and Confidentiality Roundtable of the Society of American Archivists.

Robert Taggart, education, was elected to the board of directors, Community Legal Aid Society of Delaware and was elected president of the Midwest History of Education Society.

Martin Bruckner, English, was elected to the advisory board of the Charles Brockden Brown Society in October.
