Tuition Exchange Program applications due by Nov. 6

The Tuition Exchange (TE) application deadline for the 2001-2002 academic year has been extended to Monday, Nov. 6.

Tuition Exchange is a program of exchange scholarships offered to eligible University employees for their dependent children. It is a national consortium of more than 440 colleges and universities.

To be eligible, University employees must be full-time and employed for two or more years. Eligible are natural or legally adopted children who are financially dependent on their parents in accordance with IRS regulations. Under the program, dependent children who meet the resident institution's admission requirements may apply to one or more of the participating institutions. TE scholarships are granted by member institutions, not by Tuition Exchange.

This program may be used in conjunction with UD's tuition remission program and counts towards the maximum requests for that program. Tuition remission applies only to full-time matriculated undergraduate students at the University of Delaware.

A lottery to determine who will fill the slots available for Tuition Exchange is conducted each year. Employees who have applied will be entered. This year, the lottery will be at 12:15 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10, in the Benefits Services Conference Room, 87 East Main St. It is not necessary to attend.

For further information on the Tuition Exchange Program, contact the Benefits Services office at 831-2913 or access the web site at [http://www.udel. edu/Benefits/TX.HTML], where applications are available.

Completed applications must be returned by Monday, Nov. 6. Late applications will not be accepted.
