James A. Wolfe, plant manager of DaimlerChrysler Corp. and 2000 United Way of Delaware statewide campaign chairperson, was the featured speaker at UD's United Way kick-off ceremony, held Oct. 12 in the Bob Carpenter Center. Members of the University's United Way committee and campus solicitors gathered to mark the start of this year's campaign. President David Roselle addressed the group and thanked University employees for their outstanding legacy of generosity. At the official start of the campus drive, UD's Pacesetters Campaign raised $18,398 and the retirees contributed $4,435. This year's campus campaign goal is $210,000 and the drive continues through Oct. 31.
