Wellness program to boost 'five-a-day' eating habit

Many studies have linked eating more fruits and vegetables with a decrease in the risk for certain diseases including cancer. ?

Employees who want to find out if they are getting the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables each day can sign up for the "How Did You Get Your Five" challenge that runs from Sunday-Saturday, Oct. 15-21.

Participants in the program, sponsored by the Wellness Center, will be provided with educational materials and recipes and a log to track individual consumption of fruits and vegetables for one week.

Random prizes will be given, including two $10 gift certificates from Lettuce Feed You, located on Main Street in Newark.
