In its first year of publication, the Ag Alumni News, a newsletter for alumni of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, has received a first place award in the Alumni and Donor Publications category from the National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association (NAADA) for best college, four-color newsletter.

UD's Ag Alumni News was in competition with publications from more than 50 other NAADA-member schools of agriculture nationwide. With photographs by Jon Cox and design by Tammy Allston Kater, agricultural communications, the look of the publication was given high marks. Edited by Susan Baldwin, the newsletter's articles are written by Baldwin and Pat McAdams, agricultural communications, and writers Margo McDonough and Marianne Rhodes.

NAADA also presented a second-place award for the college's alumni web page, managed by Greg Rumsey, assistant dean of operations, and another second-place award went to a college-produced recruitment publication–Careers in Agriculture and Natural Resources–written by Karen Aniunas, assistant dean for student services, and designed by Kater.
