Focusing on undergraduate education

Robert Neeves, health and exercise sciences, discusses "Learning Through Plastinated Models and Computerized Interactive PBL," in a presentation he and Michelle Provost-Craig, health and exercise sciences, made during the first University of Delaware General Education Institute, held July 9-11 at Oberod Conference Center in Greenville.

The coordinator was William Frawley, linguistics.

More than 80 UD faculty and professional staff members attended the institute, which focused on undergraduate education. Each day had a different theme: New Ideas in General Education; Interdisciplinary Courses: Pathways to Discovery; and Living and Learning: LIFE, Service Learning and Related Experiences. In addition to guest speakers, those holding general education grants gave progress reports.
