Storm damage

The linden tree (left) on the south side of Old College was struck by lightning during a storm Aug. 10 and is being removed today, Aug. 16. Grounds staff inspected the tree, found cracks on the central leaders as well as evidence of trunk damage. The tree's age is estimated at 75.
