Ceremonies across campus mark student achievements

The University of Delaware will hold its 2001 Commencement and Convocation ceremonies on Saturday, May 26. The 152nd Spring Commencement will begin at 9 a.m., rain or shine, in the Delaware Stadium, with the procession of alumni delegates.

David McCullough, a distinguished historian and noted author, whose honors include the Pulitzer Prize, two National Book Awards and the Frances Parkman Prize, will deliver the Commencement address before members of the graduating Class of 2001, their families and friends at the free, public ceremony.

Most of the Convocation ceremonies will be held after Commencement at sites located throughout the campus. However, four programs–for medical technology, nursing and Army and Air Force ROTC–will be held on Friday, May 25. Each ceremony will last approximately one hour. No tickets are required.
