Delaware Research Partnership The Delaware Research Partnership (DRP), which provides funds to match grants or contracts from private industry to support research by UD faculty, is requesting research proposals for fiscal year 2002 funding, planned to be available by July 1. Applications should be made through the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, and proposals are due by March 30. Applicants must have letters of intent to support the research from their industrial sponsors, and company contribution must be "new" money, not existing funding for research in progress. Small Delaware-based companies with fewer than 500 employees and less than $5 million in annual sales revenue are especially encouraged as sponsors, although large and out-of-state companies also qualify. To be considered for funding, proposals must follow DRP guidelines, which have been revised with respect to in-kind sponsor contributions. Application forms are available from the research office or at the web site at [www.udel.edu/ OVPR/internal/udprogs/ html]. |
