Everything, including a kitchen sink, was collected by student volunteers Sunday in a Newark clean-up campaign. Part of Make a Difference Day, when volunteers from all over the country donate their time and energy to community projects, the clean-up was sponsored by the Class of 2000 and the Good Neighbor Program. The student volunteers, including members of the senior class, Kappa Delta Rho fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Gamma sororities and the UD Marching Band, met at George Read Park and proceeded to George Reed Village and down Chapel Street to Kells Park, where a picnic was provided. The students got a helping hand from City Councilman Jerry Clifton, State Rep. Stephanie Ulbrich and the city departments of Parks and Recreation and Public Works.
