Water quality fellowship applications due

The Delaware Water Resources Center, administered by the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is offering three graduate fellowships in the area of nutrient management and water quality.

The fellowships have been established to provide research support for the state's Nutrient Management Commission in its efforts to reduce the impact of nutrients, originating from a variety of land uses, on water and to improve water quality in Delaware.

The maximum budget for each proposal is $16,000, which is primarily intended to cover the stipend and travel expenses of each fellow, and a 2 to1 match is required for all proposals.

The fellowships are renewable up to three years.

The deadline for submitting proposals to the center's director Tom Sims, plant and soil sciences, is Nov. 15.
