Professional staff members receive national honors

UD professionals garnered several awards in the 1999 National Federation of Press Women communications contest. All the winners won first place awards earlier in the 1999 Delaware Press Association communications contest.

David Barczak and Tracey Bryant, both marine communications, won first place in the print media advertising, single sheet poster, special event, non-profit category for a Coast Day poster and first place in the achievement/research, individual achievement, print category for an informational package on UD's environmental studies programs.

Lane McLaughlin, Visual Media Design, and Cornelia Weil, public relations, won third place in the PR printed materials, magapaper/tabloid, non-profit category for the Messenger, the quarterly tabloid distributed to donor alumni, friends of the University, recent graduates and parents of current students.
