Departments, faculty and staff are reminded of the availability of matching funds through the Student Travel Award, the Special Travel Award (for faculty and staff) and the Visiting Women Scholars Fund, being sponsored by the Commission on the Status of Women and the Office of Women's Affairs.
The Travel Awards are given to support travel to present scholarly papers or participate in panel discussions at a conference or comparable activity.
The awards require a departmental match and are available to women for any research presentation or to men whose research involves women's issues.
Applications are available through the Office of Women's Affairs web site at <http://www. udel.edu/OWA>. The deadline for fall semester applications is Nov. 1.
The Visiting Women Scholars Fund, which is a matching fund designed to assist departments in bringing women scholars to campus, has a rolling deadline. Each application will be evaluated when it is received. These applications also are available through the Office of Women's Affairs web site.
