Summer scholars in session

This summer, each Wednesday at noon, undergraduates who are Howard Hughes Medical Institution, Peter White and Life Science research scholars participated in special seminars related to their roles as researchers. In this session, students listen to a lecture on, "Research Careers in Industrial Settings" with Vicki Rosen of The Genetics Institute, Cambridge, Mass., the last lecture in a series of eight summer enrichment seminars that were part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Scholars program. The program allows students from UD and other universities to work on research projects full-time. They will continue their research, part-time, during the coming academic year. Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) and Peter White fellowships encourage qualified undergraduates to participate in active research programs relating to the biomedical sciences.
