UD publications take top national honors

UD publications won several awards in the 2000 National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest. All the winners won first place awards earlier in the 2000 Delaware Press Association Communications Contest.

The College of Human Services, Education and Public Policy (CHEP) magazine, Directions won first place in the PR printed materials, four-color magazine, nonprofit category. The team included Ann Manser, public relations; Molly Chapell, University media services; and Mary Helen Callahan, CHEP.

Three marine communications publications won first place in three categories--external annual report, nonprofit for a special edition of the University of Delaware Sea Grant Reporter; newsletter, four-color, nonprofit for the University of Delaware Sea Grant Reporter; and brochure, four-color, nonprofit for Boating in Delaware's Inland Bays. The team included David Barczak, Tracey Bryant and Pamela Donnelly, all marine communications,

The alumni magazine, Special Delivery. won second place in non-profit magapaper/tabloid category. The team included Beth Thomas, public relations, and Molly Chappell, University media services.
