Board of Trustees approves 35 faculty promotions

Promotions of 35 members of the University of Delaware faculty were approved at the semiannual Board of Trustees meeting, held Tuesday, May 23, in the Trabant University Center on the Newark campus. The appointments take effect Sept. 1.

Twelve members of the faculty promoted to full professor are

College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

Joan Burnside, animal and food sciences;

College of Arts and Science

Robert Bennett, English; Randall C. Bolton, art; Mary Farach-Carson, biological sciences/chemistry and biochemistry; Steven Helmling, English; Chung Hgoc Leung, physics and astronomy; James MacDonald, physics and astronomy; Bryant F. Tolles, Jr., art conservation;

College of Business and Economics

Lalita A. Manrai, business administration;

College of Engineering

David Saunders, computer and information sciences; Adarshpal S. Sethi, computer and information sciences; and

College of Marine Studies

William J. Ullman, marine studies.
