A free information session will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, at the UD Downtown Center, 8th and King streets, Wilmington. "The explosion in e-commerce activity has led to a demand by business and by the community at large for education and training in this fast-moving area," Pete Edwards, the program's creator, said. "The University's certificate program in e-commerce is particularly tailored to the needs of people who are already in the workplace. We believe it represents a unique educational offering for our region," he added. Two tracks allow the certificate to be designed to meet an individual's needs. A Business Track is designed for managers, e-commerce analysts and other business professionals working in finance, marketing and information technology who need to understand the business and commercial aspects of e-commerce. This track will help students develop an understanding of the way in which traditional business processes are being replaced by new e-commerce processes. A Project Management Track is designed for individuals who need to manage e-commerce projects. |
