CTE application deadline Oct. 15 for 2000-01 grants

The Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) will award Instructional Improvement Grants in amounts up to $5,000 for the 2000-2001 academic year. These grants are designed to provide seed funding for instructional projects that significantly enhance teaching and learning and the integration of technology at course and curriculum levels.

Last spring, more than $40,000 in funding was awarded to 15 instructional projects involving 26 faculty in various disciplines. Grants are made to departments, committees, individuals and teams of faculty.

The CTE Faculty Review Committee especially welcomes proposals for instructional projects that enhance, extend or change current practice in teaching and learning at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Proposals are submitted electronically and are due Oct. 15. Instructions and on-line applications are available at <www.udel.edu/cte/grants. htm>.
