Service Robert R. Jordan, state geologist, was appointed by Delaware Gov. Thomas Carper to another term on the Delaware State Board of Registration of Geologists. He also was appointed to the Science Language Technical Team to develop a common language for describing and interpreting geological features and units in time and space. The team is a cooperative effort of the Association of American State Geologists, the U.S. Geological Survey, the Canadian Provincial Surveys and the Geological Survey of Canada. Valerie Hans, sociology and criminal justice, addressed the Delaware House of Representatives, April 13, on jury research relevant to House Bill 361, a proposed constitutional amendment that would reduce jury size and eliminate the unanimity requirement in Delaware civil juries.
