| The American Universities Admission Program (AUAP) has identified the University of Delaware MBA program as a "rising star" in its rankings of the best MBA programs for international students.
According to AUAP, UD's average GMAT score "is rising faster than Wall Street (654 this year). This public institution is well funded by corporations like DuPont and MNBA which have their headquarters in the state, known as a U.S. mini-tax heaven." UD's MBA program in the College of Business and Economics is an accredited program offering students the choice of concentrations in a variety of areas, ranging from finance and information technology to museum leadership and accounting and marketing. It offers full- and part-time programs, as well as an Executive MBA program designed for business leaders. AUAP is the largest educational consultant organization in the world and each year establishes a list of top business programs for foreign students. The rankings are decided by 35 scholars who are university professors or directors of admissions. AUAP recognizes the few MBA programs most useful for international students. Curriculum, practicality, admissions and preparation for an international career are the main selection criteria. Among the top U.S. business schools in the 2000 AUAP rankings are Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Stanford University, Northwestern University (Kellogg), University of Chicago and Columbia University. Other AUAP national rankings are in such specialty areas as international business, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, marketing and MBA for top executives.
