Honors Day ceremonies to recognize excellence May 5

The University of Delaware will celebrate the academic success of its students during 2000 Honors Day ceremonies on Friday, May 5.

Each college will present its awards at separate ceremonies, beginning at 2:30 p.m., except the Division of Continuing Education, which will hold its ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

The room assignments for the college ceremonies are

  • College of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Mitchell Hall;
  • College of Arts and Science in the Multipurpose Room, Trabant University Center;
  • College of Business and Economics in 115 Purnell Hall;
  • College of Engineering in Pearson Hall auditorium;
  • College of Health and Nursing Sciences in Wolf Hall auditorium;
  • College of Human Resources, Education and Public Policy in Clayton Hall and Perkins Student Center–School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy in East Lounge of the Perkins Student Center; School of Education in 128 Clayton Hall; Department of Individual and Family Studies in 101B Clayton Hall; Department of Hotel and Restaurant Management in 101A Clayton Hall; and Department of Consumer Studies in 120 Clayton Hall;
  • College of Marine Studies in 104 Cannon Lab; and
  • Division of Continuing Education in Room 101 A and B Clayton Hall–at 5:30 p.m.

After the college ceremonies, President and Mrs. David P. Roselle will host a reception from 4 -5:30 p.m. at the President's House, 47 Kent Way, for members of honor societies, award recipients, their sponsors and families, administrators, academic deans and department chairs. In the event of inclement weather, the reception will be moved to the Perkins Student Center Gallery.
