The fifth UD Executive MBA class marked its graduation ceremony March 24 at Brantwyn in Wilmington with a special gift to the University. The entire class of 22 graduates pledged $20,000 to the College of Business and Economics' newly proposed Center for Corporate Governance. Representing the class, Jeff Stroble, of Fisher Investments, presented an oversized replica of a check to President David P. Roselle at the ceremony. The Executive MBA program, which is accredited by the International Association for Management Education, has been highly successful, according to director Laura Casalvera. "Our students represent a variety of businesses in the region from banks to automotive and pharmaceutical companies, as well as entrepreneurs," Casalvera said, "The accelerated program is designed for experienced professionals to obtain an MBA in 19 months, without taking a break from their jobs. We appreciate the generous gift from the Class of 2000the largest class gift given by our studentsfor the Center for Corporate Governance." |
