Grad research opportunities
available through water agency

The Water Resources Agency (WRA), Institute for Public Administration (IPA), is offering two new graduate research assistantships for students interested in the master of public administration degree or a master of arts in urban affairs and public policy degree with a focus in water resources.

Students may focus on the public policy and technical implications of water supply, water quality and watershed management by pursuing a curriculum in public administration, water resources policy and environmental and regional planning course work.

Master’s degree candidates may conduct research on water resources theory, applications and case studies in collaboration with IPA faculty and staff. The assistantships will provide an annual stipend of $11,000 and tuition during the academic year for two years.

The WRA is cosponsored by the state of Delaware, New Castle County, cities of Newark and Wilmington and UD. The agency is responsible for providing water resources assistance to state and local governments in Delaware and the Delaware Valley. In addition, WRA serves the residents of Delaware and the University community in its water resources education, research and service role.
