Essential business concepts explored in new program

In today’s competitive business environment, professional development plays an essential role for effective managers.

The College of Business and Economics has designed a powerful 10-week program focused on the most essential business concepts and practices to help create more confident leaders.

The Management Development Program is designed to strengthen management skills and to bring those skills up-to-date with current practices in management.

Classes will be held from 6-9 p.m., Thursdays, March 9 through May 18, in 125 MBNA America Hall.

Registration is $1,995 per person or $1,675 per person through the corporate discount, which applies if a company is sending three or more employees.

By participating in this course, managers will learn essential business concepts and practices and should walk away with a valuable set of “management tools” that can be used at the workplace immediately.

Each week, a UD faculty member or an expert in the field will lead the class in examining the core components of these contemporary business issues, using real-life examples and class discussions as key elements to learning.

Over the course of 10 weeks, key areas of business management will be explored such as effective leadership, micro, macro and global economics, marketing and organizational behavior and development, among others.
