Free room and board for the 2000-2001 academic year will be one of the prizes awarded at the second annual Housing Fair, to be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22, in Multipurpose Rooms B and C of the Trabant University Center. This event marks the first day of the on-campus housing sign-up process for the next academic year. Gift certificates, prizes and freebies from several University departments and Main Street vendors will be offered to students both at the door and at information booths at the fair. Complimentary food and beverages, entertainment and an appearance by YoUDee also will mark the event. At the fair, students will be able to sign up online for 2000-2001 on-campus housing at several computers set up throughout the auditorium. One lucky student attending the fair will have his or her name drawn at the end of the event and will receive free on-campus housing and a dining meal plan for the entire 2000-2001 academic year. In addition, two students will receive free on-campus housing for 2000-2001, and two students will receive free dining meal plans for 2000-2001. Several other housing and dining prizes also will be awarded. The sign-up process for 2000-2001 on-campus housing begins Feb. 22 and extends to March 17. All students submitting an application and preference form on the web during that period are guaranteed on-campus housing for the 2000-2001 academic year. The application and preference forms will be available beginning Feb. 22 on the housing web site at <www.udel.edu/housing>. The second annual Housing Fair is being cosponsored by Housing Assignment Services and the Office of Financial and Information Services.
