In memoriam

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 276 South College Ave., for Reed C. Geiger, professor emeritus of history, who died Jan. 12 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. A graduate of the College of Wooster, Dr. Geiger received his doctorate from the University of Minnesota and served on the UD faculty for 37 years. His field of expertise was modern European economic history. During his tenure, he also served as coordinator of the University of Delaware-Hagley Program. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Gould-Geiger, three daughters and other family members.
