Recent graduates

Vice President for Administration Maxine Colm (right) congratulates UD police officers Adam W. Warne, who graduated from the New Castle County Police Academy 26th recruit class in November; and Kelly A. Baird, who graduated in December from the Delaware State Police 53rd municipal police class. Both officers currently are involved in field training. Eventually, they will be assigned to a specific squad and shift. All University police officers must complete state certification in police training through courses provided by the state of Delaware, the cities of Dover and Wilmington, New Castle County or the Delaware River and Bay Authority. These courses are approximately six months in length. UD police officers are located on the Wilmington, Lewes and Newark campuses. Photo by Robert Cohen
