| Proposals to participate in the Pathways Institute, to be held Jan. 24-28, are being received by the Pathways Planning Committee through Monday, Dec. 6.
Themes should be multidisciplinary, address topics that will interest and engage college freshmen and offer a good introduction to University study. Themes that address global issues, such as the environment, world foodways and energy issues, are especially welcome, as are those that deal with the moral and physical sense of self, cultural understanding and community. Ideally, a proposal should come from several faculty located in different colleges or departments, but individuals who, as yet, have no partner(s) are encouraged to apply. Proposals-no longer than three to five pages-should indicate how a course might develop students' skills and/or fulfill the multicultural requirement. Applicants should post their proposals on the web at <http:// www.udel.edu/billf/pathways.html> or they can be mailed to Carol Hoffecker, History. |
