All students residing on campus who will be away from Newark during the spring semester must cancel, in writing, their academic year Student Housing Agreement prior to Friday, Dec. 17, in order to avoid being billed for late cancellation. Faculty who are sponsoring a study trip or who are aware of any students who will be away from Newark are asked to encourage students to file cancellation forms immediately.
University residence halls will close at 10 p.m. on Dec. 17 unless a student has a final examination that night. In such a case, the student must contact the hall director or complex coordinator of his or her residence hall and request that an exception be made, allowing him or her to remain in the University residence until 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18.
University residence halls will reopen at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, for students enrolled in Winter Session.
