#00P062 Administrative Coordinator (Level 11), English- THIS POSITION IS LIMITED TO UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE EMPLOYEES. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in business administration or business-related discipline with two to four years of administrative experience or four to seven years of experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to exercise independent judgment and to take the initiative in handling complex curricular issues preferred. Prepare statistical reports for administration on course enrollment patterns, faculty teaching schedules. Direct supervision of two department secretaries and work-study students. DUTIES: Assist University community, outside consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies in obtaining plans and project information pertaining to University facilities. Receive incoming calls for plans room request; respond to the University community, outside consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies request and interpret blueprints, drawings and facilities information using the Plans Room database or other sources. Answer routine and non-routine questions. Provide guidance to student workers as needed. Maintain and update a variety of records and controls. Archive departmental project files and plan and assist in preparation of technical graphics using CAD. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED with a vocational/technical specialization in electronics or the completion of an ICIA certificate training program in the use of audiovisual technology and one year of experience in the set up and operation of audiovisual technology. Basic computer literacy and knowledge of computing hardware and connections, the ability to follow oral and written instructions-including manufacturers and operation manuals. Mechanical aptitude, the ability to solve problems under time constraints and the ability to work independently. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift and move, with or without assistance, audiovisual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to accurately discern colors and the tone and volume of sound. DUTIES: Operate classroom audiovisual equipment and control systems. Orient faculty in how to operate classroom audiovisual equipment and control systems. Assist and train faculty in configuring and connecting portable computers and check performance of audiovisual equipment for proper operation. Make basic adjustments such as focus, audio level and tracking. Troubleshoot audiovisual equipment to identify area of malfunction. Perform basic maintenance on audiovisual equipment such as lamp replacement, head cleaning, cable/connector replacement, lens cleaning and lens replacement; refer more complex problems to next technical level.
