1:47 p.m., Nov. 27, 2007--A pep rally in support of the UD football and women's volleyball teams, which are both participating in NCAA championship tournaments, will be held from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the Food Court of the Trabant University Center.

All members of the University community are encouraged to show their true blue school spirit.

From 11 a.m.-noon, DJ Amaze and the Deltones will perform. Then at noon, the rally officially begins with the introduction of the coaches and the teams. UD cheerleaders, dance team and YoUDee will be on hand to lead the crowd in cheers and the singing of the Fight Song.

Free pizza, free soda and free hot chocolate will be available from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The rally is sponsored by Student Centers, UD Athletics, Dining Services and Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Co.

The volleyball team will make its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament when they take on Princeton University at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at St. John's University in New York.

UD's football team will play top-ranked Northern Iowa in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision quarterfinals at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
