7:56 a.m., Nov. 7, 2007--University of Delaware sophomore midfielder Kyle Davis has been named second team College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District 2 All-Academic for men's soccer.

Davis is a biological sciences and biochemistry major from Hockessin, Del., with a 3.91 grade point average. He was among 23 players selected to the first and second teams based on their academic and athletic accomplishments. Sports information directors at member schools conducted the voting.

Davis, a graduate of Salesianum School, made nine starts in his 11 games this season and anchored a defense that has recorded four shutouts.
