11:05 a.m., May 6, 2008--John Hofmeister, president of Shell Oil Co. and adviser to the American Petroleum Institute and the U.S. Department of Energy, will talk about, “Achieving Energy Security Through Sound Public Policy” at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, in Mitchell Hall.

The talk is part of the of UD's Global Agenda lecture series, “Boiling Point: International Politics of Climate Change.”

The last Global Agenda lecture of the semester is slated for 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, in Mitchell Hall. Maj. Gen. Richard L. Engel, deputy U.S. national security officer for science and technology in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, will address the implications for U.S. national security of climate change.
