Comedians Blass, Kirschner to host Senior Day festivities

2:28 p.m., May 8, 2008--Graduating UD seniors are invited to attend UD's annual Senior Day festivities, from 2-5 p.m., Friday, May 16, on the North Green, where comedians Todd Blass and Seth Kirschner, two recent UD alums and former members of the Rubber Chickens, UD's student comedy troupe, will return as guest emcees.

Blass and Kirschner, who both graduated in 2005 and now write and perform on the New York City comedy circuit, will offer entertainment and announce the winners of a wide array of prizes.

Seniors who register online at [www.udel.edu/contest] will be entered in drawings to win various prizes, including a flat-screen TV, TiVos, GPS navigation systems, a mountain bike and gift certificates to area restaurants, prizes from Boscov's and much more. Seniors, who must be present to claim prizes, also have the chance to win the grand prize of a Pontiac G5 from NuCar Pontiac Buick GMC.

Todd Blass
The band Kristen and the Noise will entertain and giveaways, prizes, inflatable games, free hot dogs, soft pretzels, soda and water will be available.

Blass writes and performs in New York City, where he has studied improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and taken workshops on sketch comedy writing at the Second City Theatre in Chicago. He has performed at the UCB Theatre since 2005 and has appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, MTV and MTV-U.

Kirschner appears in NBC's Lipstick Jungle, as well as on the Internet in the Web series We Need Girlfriends, now in production with CBS. He performs at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater comedy club in New York City and appears in several nationally televised commercials.
