CPRathon slated for May 11 at UD

4:49 p.m., May 5, 2008--The American Red Cross Club at UD will present a CPRathon from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday, May 11, in the Mulitpurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center.

CPRathon will feature a professional rescuer teaching students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants; how to use an automated external defibrillator on an adult or child victim of cardiac arrest; and how to use personal protective equipment to stop blood-borne pathogens and other diseases from spreading.

The price is $40 for club members and $50 for nonmembers. Those wishing to participate in the class must sign up two days in advance.
