2:32 p.m., March 14, 2008--A test of the UD Alert system will be held on Wednesday, March 19. Included in the test will be e-mails, cell phones and office and residence hall telephones.
Through UD Alert, the University is able to disseminate important emergency information quickly through text messages, voice messages and e-mail messages. The system will be used only in a major emergency when there is a clear and credible danger to the University community.
All members of the University community are reminded that, for the system to be effective, contact information in the University's databases should be up to date. Information on how to update emergency information, which may be done online at any time, is available at these two web sites:
For students: [www.udel.edu/udalertstudent]
For staff: [www.udel.edu/udalertstaff]
