The Fightin' Blue Hens finished second in the novice fours race and third in the varsity eights, second varsity eights and novice eights events. UD also finished fourth in the varsity fours competition over the 2,000-meter course.
In the novice fours, Delaware's team of coxswain Jen Popkin, Rachel Waylett, Grace Bennett, Tara Bree and Lindsay Byrne finished second in a time of 8:48.57. Bucknell won the race in a time of 8:16.57.
In the varsity eights, Delaware's team of coxswain Callie Tegan, Mary Grace Maggiano, Darra Finnerty, Regine Adrien, Liz Cretekos, Elizabeth Carey, Lana Rivers, Meredith Rubin and Lisa Medina was third in 7:25.98. Bucknell won in a time of 6:48.4 with George Mason second in 7:06.78. Taima McCartney, Laura Stiffler, Maureen Reardon, Arielle Katz, Clare Wardwell, Nicolette Lotrionte and Brittany Hayes finished third in a time of 7:42.70, finishing behind winner Bucknell (7:04.06) and runner-up George Mason (7:19.30).
In the novice eights race, coxswain Marra Green, Tracy Iudica, Leanna Colubriale, Kaitlin Roehrer, Steph Lynch, Katelyn Huber, Corey Kalota, Sara Leviton and Sarah Baillie finished third with a clocking of 7:39.59. Bucknell A won in a time of 7:07.54 while George Mason was second (7:23.0), Delaware third, and Bucknell B fourth (8:02.20).
Delaware's varsity fours team of coxswain Amanda Burton, Alexx Delorme, Lily Chavarriaga, Erin Venturato and Valerie Glace rowed to a time of 9:49.51 to finish in fourth place. Bucknell A won the race in 7;53.71, followed by Bucknell B (8:05.97) and George Mason (8:31.91).
Delaware will continue action March 29 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational in Raleigh, N.C.
